We did an activity were 3 people had a tag. There were 2 tax collectors and 1 king, every one else had green peppermints that represented money. The king would call out a type of clothing or hair color like laced shoes or blond hair or things like that. Anyone who has that on or that color hair has to give one of the tax collectors a sertain amount of peppermints. When everyone was out of mints, I saw the king had a lot of mints. I learned that when America was new, and when there were still colonists with kings, those kings made a lot of money just off of taxes.
