In Thatagirl (a story my class read) a girl named Hazel loves baseball and use to play catch with her father. When she hears a group of boys playing she askes if she can join but they say girls can’t play baseball. On her way home Hazel got an privlage to go to a baseball game where the team has a girl pitcher. She accepted the ticket and on her way to the game one of the boys that was playing baseball walked up and made a bet. He said if Jackie Mitchell (the new girl pitcher) won the game then she could play baseball with them. Hazel took the bet and finished walking to the game. They took their seats and Jackie Mitchell strikes out Babe Ruth. Hazel won the bet.
