Communicating in person and using technology both have similarities. You can show emotion if you’re talking in person or over the phone. Also, you are still interacting even if you’re talking over the phone, and you are obviously interacting when you’re talking in person. Either way you can have along conversation. Usually, when we have a family gathering my mom will find someone and talk to them the whole time. You can make new friends while playing a game online or while you’re walking down the street. Seeing each other is possible either way, when you facetime you can see the other person, and you can obviously see them in person.
Talking with technology and in person also have very many differences here are a few; You can talk to someone for longer if you’re in person, but you are able to have shorter conversations through technology. The person would have to be beside you to have a conversation in person, whereas through technology it doesn’t matter how far you are to have a conversation. You’re able to get the message across by using body language and facial cues, but sometimes you can take certain things the wrong way if you’re talking with electronics. Once I was texting my friend, and I sent her a picture of my hair after I had dyed it and she asked, “WHY DID YOU DYE YOUR HAIR?”. I thought she was mad at me ,but really she didn’t realize her caps lock was on. You know who you’re talking to if you’re talking to someone in person, while you might not know who you’re really talking to through tech. Communicating in person allows you to feel connections, but it’s like talking to yourself through technology. Talking in person and talking with technology both have many pros and cons, you have a choice to socialize or contribute to the technology filled society.
